Intel Core2 Duo launch and free Microsoft Virtual PC
Here are 2 pieces of great news for this weekend!
INTEL CORE2 DUO LAUNCH
Last Friday Intel launched its new line of dual core CPUs based on the ‘Conroe’ core to succeed the Pentium 4 line. These new processors promise to be less power-hungry (therefore, less heat generated), but still able to pack a punch, even against AMD’s AM2 top of the line Athlon64 FX-62 giant! Check out the many reviews and benchmarks.
Wow! My next PC build might be an Intel-based system. Hope the prices are good when I do decide to build!
MICROSOFT VIRTUAL PC IS NOW FREE
Virtual PC 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is a powerful software virtualization solution that allows you to run multiple PC-based operating systems simultaneously on one workstation, providing a safety net to maintain compatibility with legacy applications while you migrate to a new operating system. It also saves reconfiguration time, so your support, development, and training staff can work more efficiently.
Have a great weekend!
